EIM COATECH-  specializes in providing conformal coating and protection solutions for electronic systems (components and printed circuit boards), in order to enable the systems longer service life and prevent failures functioning at real time, caused by extreme working, weather changes and environment conditions.

In all variety of industries, electronic systems are exposed to variety of environmental and working conditions, may adversely affect the integrity. Including: extreme temperature changes, exposure to heavy dust / haze, humidity, exposure to vapors of chemical materials, high salinity, and many others pollutants.
These environmental conditions have a direct effect on the components, the integrity of the circuit board and wiring and may create a shorts, corrosion, fungus, bacteria, disintegration of solder, impair the surface of the printed circuit and other damages which may effect the integrity of the components, circuit and system as a whole.

The coating materials:

to provide maximum protection for the electronic systems, COATECH uses three types of materials:

Acrylic coating, Polyurethane coating, Silicon coating

 Acrylic coating

Acrylic coating, provides protection from exposure to humidity, dust / haze, corrosion, fungus, bacteria and salinity. When necessary, it is possible to remove the acrylic coating from PCB by three stages process, combined with removing materials and advanced technology.
Between the acrylic coating materials of HUMISEAL company, COATECH uses them, can be found: 1B31, 1B73.

Polyurethane coating

Polyurethane coating, provides protection from exposure to humidity, high salinity and various vapors of chemical materials. Polyurethane coating is very difficult to remove after drying and it can be done in specific points. Between the polyurethane coating materials of HUMISEAL company, COATECH uses them, can be found: 1A20, 1A33.

Silicon coating

Silicone coating utilizes the properties of the material to seal completely electronic system from external influences, including: extreme temperature changes, exposure to chemicals and high humidity. The silicon flexibility allows to isolate the effects of pressure and vibration from the electronic system.

Selective mask
For the purpose of selective coating (masking areas where the coating impair the functioning of the circuit), the COATECH experienced staff provide accuracy masking of components, connectors, ground bars, wiring and other areas needed.

The combination of various masking materials, (including: masking tapes and insulators) with professional experience of the staff, enable to COATECH provide all customers selective request.

Standards and assurance

Strictest international standards (IPC-830, MIL STD, IPC-A-610 Class III), including coating quality testing (internal and external), confirm the effectiveness of the coating process of EIM-COATECH, in protection on electronic systems in various environmental conditions.

Coating quality testing – This testing are carried out by the Quality Auditor under U.V lighting, on each circuit that pass the coating process. The test is designed to ensure that the conformal coating processes meets the requirements of the customer and according to areas masking demands.

Coating thickness test – This testing are carried out by the Quality Auditor on a sample from circuits series. The test is designed to ensure that the coating thickness meets the requirements of the strictest standards and the customer demands.

Coating adhesion test – This testing are carried out by the Quality Auditor, on a sample from circuits series. The test is designed to ensure that the adhesion of the coating meets the requirements of the strictest standards and the customer demands.

Validation process test – This testing are carried out by an external laboratory. The test examines the effectiveness of the conformal coating against environmental conditions and thereby confirm that the coating process which EIM COATECH provides, are according to the standards and goals.
